Gin Leo Tani is a pianist and composer. She began studying piano under the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music when she was 9 years old. In 2010 she joined the children's choir as part of the Welsh National Opera. Later, in 2014 she also graduated from Rock Academy Wales. She continued her musical education studying Popular Music at the Cardiff and Vale College, achieving a Triple Grade Distinction (D*DD) in 2018 where she studied solo and group performance skills, working and developing as a musical ensemble, aural perception, music theory and harmony. This is where she began learning about music composition and music production techniques, whilst working in a professional studio environment. In 2018, Gin began her Bachelor Honours Degree in Sound for Games and Apps at dBs Music Bristol where she learnt how to use Unity and Unreal game engines. She is proficient in using middleware such as FMOD, and is also currently working towards her Wwise certification. During her time at university, Gin has been creating ambisonic, binaural and spatial audio assets in conjunction with game audio implementation skills. Gin is currently working towards her final year where she has developed a keen interest in VR content and adaptive music.
